ESC @ Europa-Haus Leipzig (International Work)
Europa-Haus Leipzig e. V. hosts the official Europe Direct information center for Leipzig Region. Their mission is to bridge the gap between European citizens and EU institutions through civic education, youth exchanges, and public engagement.
As a volunteer, you will be an active part of our international team, gaining hands-on experience in European project management, political education, and public communications. You will assist in carrying out the European Commission’s Annual Communication Plan, organize cross-border mobility opportunities (such as Erasmus+), and lead multilingual European city tours throughout Leipzig. This role offers unique opportunities to develop event management skills, travel within Europe for mobility projects and visits (e.g., to the European Commission in Brussels), and learn about local association structures in Leipzig while improving your German language skills.
Selection criteria:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, open-minded volunteer eager to engage in European political education and youth work.
- Interest in European Affairs: A strong motivation to learn about the European Union, its institutions, and cross-border mobility programs (like Erasmus+).
- Communication & Languages: Good knowledge of English; willingness to learn German and lead multilingual city tours in Leipzig.
- Proactive & Team-Oriented: Ability to take initiative, bring in own project ideas, and work constructively in a multicultural team environment.
- Organizational Skills: Interest in event planning, public relations, and project management.
- Flexibility & Travel Readiness: Openness to travel for European mobility projects, training, and visits to EU institutions.
We are currently unable to accept more than 2 candidates who require a visa.
