If you’d like, you are welcome to prepare or choose the design you want to print ahead of Sunday’s workshop. This is completely optional, but it can help you make the most of your printing time. Please bring your design on usb stick or send it to dudziak.kat@gmail.com .
Your artwork will be printed on a transparent film and used to expose your screen, so please make sure it meets the following requirements:
Artwork Requirements for Exposure
Color: The design must be 100% black (pure black). No shades of grey. Areas that are black on your file will block the light and create printable areas on the screen.
Format: Please prepare your artwork in one of the following formats:
PDF, PNG, JPEG
Resolution: Minimum 300 dpi for raster images
Size: The printable area can be up to A4 (21 × 29.7 cm). If you prefer a smaller size, that’s perfectly fine. Save a bit of a margin (makes printing easier)
Line thickness: For best results, avoid lines thinner than 1 mm, as they may not expose well.
Fill areas: Large, solid black areas should be as dense as possible (deep black).
